Over the weekend I finally got my nose on Jackie Aina’s Forvr Fragrances!
Here are my honest thoughts.
NDA- First thought is, this is familiar. I’ve smelled this before. It Reminds me of Diors J’adore, not that they smell the same but they are in the same category in terms of smell and notes. This slightly powdery white floral fragrance is for a classy grown woman, specifically your rich auntie. One of your aunts has a fragrance similar to this laying around somewhere.
Hard 2 Get-This starts off with a burst of fruity citrus grounded in vanilla. The bright citrus lasts for only a few minutes before the vanilla comes forward even more and your left with a slightly woody (Jasmine) Vanilla fragrance with a touch of tropical citrus. Think dole whip, not jolly rancher. This is for the cute unbothered girls relaxing by the beach playing hard to get.
I Am Her-I can see this being “the one” most people love. This is a Smokey oud Vanilla fragrance. This is a good intro to oud and tobacco like fragrances. The oud comes off slightly suede like with tons of Vanilla. I Am Her is sexy, it’s perfect for date nights in all black outfits. It’s not gourmand in a way that you want to eat it, but it’s gourmand in a way that your partner might want to devour you.
You Remind Me-This is the one you need to overspray! It’s very soft but lovely. It’s comforting and cozy cotton, musky. 100% your skin but better. This gives the same vibe as Mont Blanc Signature, Lara and Musk 12. This is perfect when you want to curl up alone or with your partner and you want to feel comfy.
First Impressions on the line: Either I go nose-blind to these immediately, they are super light fragrances or they don’t last long at all. I had to spray the tester strips down so I could actually smell them. To me, you should be able to wear any of these all year round- their not a bad option for everyday signature scents. Personally, I don’t need a full bottle at the moment but I am going to buy a 10ML of You Remind Me. I will let it rest for a bit and try again in a month or so.
